I am 3 months old!
I know I am very late posting this, but like I said in my
previous blog, things were about to get busy (and they did)! Baseball season is
in full swing for the Maxie household. Kyle is having a successful season with
his team for his first season. We are so proud of him! Besides baseball, we
have a very active little boy!
The past month, Kolt had many new adventures. We were able
to make our first trip home to Monroeville. He slept the whole car ride there
and back! We had so much fun! While we were there, Kolt went out to eat for his
first time, which of course was at David’s Catfish House. He also went to
church for the first time. I was so excited that his first time at church was
where mommy went to church for the first time! He had such a great time playing
with Big Daddy, Nana and Aunt Sarah during our visit.
Kolt also got to go to his first (of MANY) baseball games.
However, we weren’t outside. The three of us went to the Southern Miss game
their opening weekend and sat in one of our friend’s boxes. This was perfect
because we were able to keep him in his stroller, ride the elevator up and
stroll him right on in. He slept the entire game! People did not even realize
he was in the room! This was special for me because this was Kyle’s first time
being back since he played in 2009. I loved being able to see all of the memorabilia he had autogrpahed
in the suite from the College World Series. I know Kolt is already so proud of
his daddy!
I know people (including myself) say he is growing up so
fast, but that is the only way I can even describe it! We feel like he changes
every day. Kyle and I absolutely love when he makes new sounds, new
discoveries, or physically does something new. We are constantly looking at
each other and saying “did you see that?!” or “did you hear that?!”. Everyone
that holds him quickly mentions at how strong he is! During the month he got
stronger at holding his head up and trying to roll over. His little personality
is coming out more and more every day. He is so silly! His precious smile
brightens our day!
Also, during the month Kolt had his first Valentine’s Day.
He got a card and outfit from Big Daddy and Nana and a card and book from Aunt
Sarah. Mommy and daddy got him a card, a car seat toy and a rubber baseball.
Mommy and Kolt went to school that morning to see daddy and visit. Everyone
loved getting to see him. His class finally “believed” that he had a baby at
home, since they hadn’t seen him in person!
I know this post isn’t the best with all of his achievements
but hopefully I will be better with next month’s!
Sleeping through the Southern Miss baseball game!
But still cheering! :)
This captures his personality - reaching for my phone and telling me all about it!
