Welcome to "Life with the Maxies"! Kyle likes to think of it as "Maxie Madness". We live in Hattiesburg and are the proud parents of Kolt Allen who is 19 months and Kylee Jo who just recently turned one month old. Kyle is the head baseball coach at PCS and I am a first grade teacher at Earl Travillion Attendance Center. We attend Venture Church and are so happy that God chose to lead us there! We are so thankful for all of the many blessings God has bestowed upon us and pray that He can use us to be His light for others to see Him.

4 months old - better late than never!

We had an exciting fourth month with our sweet baby boy. We went to the doctor for his four month checkup and shots. Kolt now weighs 15 pounds and 7 ounces which is average. He is 26 inches long which is in the 86 percentile for his age! He is definitely going to be tall! During the month, Kolt traveled, experienced his first Easter, rolled over for the first time from his back to his stomach and of course gone to more baseball games. Kolt has the sweetest personality. He loves to “talk” all the time! Kolt also enjoys watching baseball on TV. He sits in his chair and is mesmerized; he especially loves chopping for the Braves!

Kyle, Kolt and I have been attending First Baptist of Hattiesburg. Kyle and I felt like the time was right for Kolt to start going to the nursery. The church has an amazing children’s program (God’s Big Backyard) and they made the transition so easy for us. Kolt is a part of the “Little Bitty Backyard”. The ladies love Kolt and were so sad when he kept sleeping the whole time in his car seat while he was there! We are really enjoying our time at First Hattiesburg and are taking steps to become members.

The months are flying by but we love watching Kolt grow. We are so thankful for such a healthy and happy baby boy! He has recently started wanting to hold his burp clothes or little blankets which is so sweet. Every night around 10, he starts to get fussy and he is ready for his “daddy rock time”. He only wants for Kyle to rock him to sleep. It is the sweetest thing! While I have enjoyed every minute of being able to stay at home with Kolt, I am currently searching and interviewing for jobs for the next school year. I had a great interview at a school last week where I taught a reading lesson. I have been asked to go back and teach a math lesson. Hopefully this will lead to good things!

We know this month will bring even more fun and joy into our lives. Kolt has been given the okay to start on baby food and HE LOVES IT! He is trying so hard to crawl; we know it won’t be too long!

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Psalm 100:5
